Staff Sergeant Michael Bogle can cook, partly thanks to the Army. Staff Sergeant Bogle won two silver medals and one bronze for pastries and ice carving at the 34th Annual U.S. Army Culinary Arts Competition. After a dream to attend culinary schools seemed out of reach, he joined the Army where he got the opportunity to travel and experiment with cooking.

The Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) now comes with a new $20,000 signing bonus. The HPSP program pays for tuition, books and other school fees, and includes a monthly stipend for living expenses for medical and dental students who enlist in the military. In exchange, students will complete a military residency and serve four years in their chosen branch of the military.
