Hispanic Partnerships
The U.S. Army will serve as a sponsor at 2010 Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) Youth Awards. HHF identifies, inspires, promotes and prepares Hispanic role models through national leadership, cultural, educational and workforce programs. The Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards were founded in 1998 to identify and promote the next generation of Hispanic leaders and role models by celebrating their accomplishments in the classroom and community. This national leadership program annually identifies and honors young role models from 10 regions who apply for awards in various categories of focus. In 2010 the HHF Youth Awards will be held between September – December 2010 in 10 markets: Houston, Chicago, Washington, Dallas, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Antonio, Miami, New York, San Francisco/Palo Alto.

HACU College Tour
Hispanic Partnerships
The U.S. Army will expand its partnership with HACU to include a College Tour at the University of Texas, San Antonio. HACU is the only national educational association that represents Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) – colleges and universities with undergraduate enrollment of at least 25 percent. In addition to HACU’s extensive network with HSIs, they have fostered relationships with Hispanic Serving School Districts (HSSDs), allowing the organization access to HSSD superintendents and thousands of Hispanic students. HSSDs are classified as those having at least 25 percent Hispanic student enrollment. HACU now represents more than 450 colleges and universities committed to Hispanic higher education success in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Latin America, Spain and Portugal.
