Virtual Family Readiness Groups (vFRG)
ABOUT VIRTUAL FAMILY READINESS GROUPS (vFRG)
Program Overview
- Virtual Family Readiness Groups (vFRG) provide an online resource for communicating safely and quickly with families, no matter where they reside.
- The vFRG allows Soldiers deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan and across the world to communicate with families around the world by logging into the system. By utilizing current technology, the system helps traditional FRGs meet the demands of extended tours of duty.
- Like traditional Army-post FRGs, vFRGs provide family members of Soldiers serving in the same unit a way to connect and learn more about military life.
- The site provides a single location for users to obtain news and updates relating to FRGs and their unit.
- The vFRG supports active Army, Army Reserve and Army National Guard Soldiers and their families.
