Cadet Adam Miller
Cadet Adam Miller, a member of the U.S. Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC), is currently a student at North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega, Ga., where he plans to major in nursing.
He is currently spending the summer with his brother Lawrence, who is also a ROTC cadet, as an intern for World T.E.A.M. Sports’ inaugural bike trek across America called Sea to Shining Sea May 21 through July 24. Spanning 63 days and 4,000 miles from San Francisco to Virginia Beach, Sea to Shining Sea is honoring the courage of all of our service men and women, many of whom are wounded Iraq and Afghanistan veterans participating in the cycling event.
Miller is excited to be a part of the biking event because it is a great opportunity to help veterans. He is looking forward to learning from the endless experience and knowledge that veterans will pass along to him during the ride. He will take this leadership experience and share it with his fellow cadets once he returns.
The 18-year-old Oakland, Calif., native decided to join the ROTC program in order to join the Army, gain leadership skills and prepare for his future.
Upon graduation, Miller will be commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in the Army. He plans on becoming a nurse and traveling to Germany to complete his nursing training.
