Cadet Lawrence Miller
Cadet Lawrence Miller, a member of the U.S. Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC), is currently a student at North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega, Ga., where he plans to major in psychology.
He is currently spending the summer with his brother Adam, who is also a ROTC cadet, as an intern for World T.E.A.M. Sports’ inaugural bike trek across America called Sea to Shining Sea May 21 through July 24. Spanning 63 days and 4,000 miles from San Francisco to Virginia Beach, Sea to Shining Sea is honoring the courage of all of our service men and women, many of whom are wounded Iraq and Afghanistan veterans participating in the cycling event.
The 20-year-old Parris Island, SC., native is excited to be a part of the biking event because it is a great opportunity to help veterans. He has worked with the wounded warriors program before and is proud to represent his college.
Upon graduation, Miller will become an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He plans on attending flight school to become a pilot.
